Re- opening of Motions

Last week's Live Register figures made shocking reading for young people hopeful of a future in Ireland.

Unemployment for under 25s has gone up 90% in the past year. This is an emergency facing young people. The Steering Committee for National Conference have organised a further session for the Sunday of Conference at 11am "Creating a Better Tomorrow" during this session delegates can debate the emergency in youth unemployment and suggest proposals for a knowledge based economic recovery. Local Elections Candidates and members who have graduated are also encouraged to submit motions and get involved.

Please forward any motions your branch would like to put forward for this emergency debate by Thursday at 5pm to yfg@finegael.com.

Encouragement of maths and Science studies at School

Education and 4th level education incentives

Encouragement of enterprise - helping young people set up businesses

Measures which can aid SMEs.

Job creation short and long term

Enterprise

Rural development

Retraining of young males who were involved in the construction sector.
