JP Browne - News - Young Fine Gael

JP Browne

Name: JP Browne

Age: 35

Candidate in: Fingal – Balbriggan Ward

YFG/FG branches: Skerries – John Boland Branch

Why did you decide to run in the locals: I want to see real change in my local area. I am a (relatively) young professional with a young family, and I am aware of the difficulties faced by the community. I am of the opinion that new people have to enter politics to ensure continued progress. I work as a barrister, where I advocate for a living. I believe that I have the skills and the motivation to advocate for the people of my local area at Council level.

Why did you join YFG/FG: I have always been interested in politics / law and believe that Fine Gael is doing a great job in promoting Ireland.

Your greatest achievement: I have to say that my greatest (and current) achievement is canvassing for the local elections 23rd May, 2014. Calling to a lot of doors and meeting a lot of people, which has been really enjoyable.

Favourite quote: "It's better to be looking at them than for them" Came from when we moved in to our house and my father-in-law was putting in plug points. Don't know why but it was stuck with me.
