The AGM of Clare Young Fine Gael was held on Saturday the 16th April 2011 in Ennis, Co.Clare. The guest chair for the night was Eric Keane, President of Young Fine Gael. The newly elected committee for 2011/12 after ferocious competition for places were:

Chairperson: Jonny Pilkington

Vice Chairperson: Luke Hogg

Secretary: John McNamara

Assistant Secretary: Gareth Gregan

Treasurer: Caimin Griffey

P.R.O: Colm Carrigg

Organiser: Anthony Woods

Membership Officer: Aideen Burke**

Policy Officer: Rebecca Gregan**

Chair for the night was YFG President Eric Keane - a Clare native who remarked on how it was the first time since 1997 that a Clare YFG meeting had been held with Fine Gael in government. However also stated that this came with a challenge as Fine Gael had to adjust to being in power and that YFG could not "stand on the sideline"

He also advocated the importance of ordinary members of YFG, saying he believes that they should be given the opportunity to have an input in policy decisions, something that could be achieved during the National Stategic Review.

Eric ended by urging us to remain active as it "is easy to campaign when not in government".

Deputy Pat Breen acknowledged the presence of YFG during the recent election and thanked those who had campaigned for him. He remarked on his recent poll-topping achievement and called it a "great result" for Fine Gael to top a traditionally Fianna Fail constituency.

Deputy Joe Carey told thanked the members for their helpduring the election campaign and the work undertaken by the branch throughout the year. He concluded by congratulating the new committee and expressed his joy at there being competition for places before offering Clare YFG an invitation to tour Dáil Eireann

**Will be ratified at next meeting.
