Mayo

We have four non-college branches in Co. Mayo, based in Achill Island, Ballina, Castlebar, and Claremorris. We also hope to launch a branch based in Belmullet in coming months.

Our branches submit policy motions to YFG events, run events in tandem with other West YFG branches, canvass with FG throughout the year and members also attend national events and play a part in all our campaigns.

Branches are the main generators of policy in YFG. In the past decade, branches have fuelled campaigns on road safety, dignity for young and learner drivers, suicide awareness, youth depression, sexual health, youth emigration, the Stability Treaty, the Children's Rights Referendum and employment opportunities.

YFG in Co. Mayo is a member of the Western Regional Council.
